James Reyes – Past President

jamesreyesprofileJames Reyes graduated from the University of Michigan in 2006 and received his Juris Doctor from Emory University in 2010.  There he served as the Director of Student Legal Services on Emory's Universities Campus for two years. At graduation, James was awarded the Katz Pro Bono Award for commitment to service in the community.

Now a member of the Virginia Bar, James has focused primarily on immigration and criminal law.  James' experience in immigration law ranges from defending clients in removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review as well as in applying for benefits with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

James has previously served as the Vice President and Communications Chair of the  Hispanic Bar Association of Virginia and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  James is the owner of the Law Offices of James Reyes.
